Oh boy… Must place the shirts in laundry bags, before throwing them into the washing machine, else will be very ‘noisy’ to do laundry…

Wonder if next year’s Sec-1 will be affected by the change too?

School hours : Mon - Fri , 7.15am - 1.45pm.

Don't think P2 boys are required to stay back in school for any activities, except for a few short-term enrichment courses which are not compulsory.

CCAs are scheduled on different days for different CCAs, though most fall on Wed afternoons. A few CCAs do require the boys to go back to school on Saturday mornings, but not all.

I've tried asking the admin via email for info on available CCAs eg. what sports like table tennis, basketball, band, choir, etc. and any prerequisites, and on what days they are conducted and duration but to no avail. Simply said they are not compulsory at that level. Are there swimming classes after school?

Many apologies that I've to ask here..Thought I could get some info from the P1 2015 Powerpoint slides on the school website but can't access or open the file.

No need to worry too much about CCA now. It's not compulsory to join CCA, though the boys are encouraged to take up at least one CCA..

Why not let your boy settle down in CHS first (since it'll be quite an adjustment for him in a new school), then let him decide which CCA he wants to join (instead of you deciding now, based on the days & timings of each CA) ? You can approach the HOD of CCAs, once your boy is ready to take up any CCA (say, mid P2 or beginning P3)..

PS : Not sure about P1 & P2.. No swimming lessons for P3 - P6..

I read through past posts, and realised that the silver button maybe painful. With the new change will it be less painful to skin?

Is school tie meant to wear everyday except Fri? It’s a little confusing on the orientation booklet. Mon(term1), Tues(Term2) and so on.
Does it mean for term 1 wear on Mon only. term 2 wear on Tues?

The boys wear their ties only on Assembly days (once a week).

If the boys have PE lessons on assembly days (eg, Mondays in Term-1), they do not need to wear school uniform & ties on that day. That's the reason why assembly day changes every term, so that all the boys have the chance to wear their ties on assembly days.

need to turn the shirts (fully buttoned) inside out before throwing in, like what i do to my cotton military jackets with epaulets.

muska: will hurt shoulders to some extent due to the inner studs in lieu of rings (or sewn-on flat buttons if u hv), but it's only painful for those few minutes of carrying the school bag up the bus.
