hi, saw yernyin posted her piano tuner, Mr Chew, for $50 per visit so gave a try since the price is so attractive. Just to share my experience with this Mr Chew. After tuning the piano, my piano teacher complaint few keys were wrongly tuned so we contacted him. He refuted the claim and gave lots of excuses and claimed that our piano is old and need overhaul which cost more than $1k. He even suggested to us to trade in our U1 to him for another piano which we turned down his offer. We decided to get another tuner to verify his claim and realised that few keys were indeed mistuned but were fixed subsequently. Hopefully by sharing this incident, u may want to be more careful when engaging Mr Chew as your piano tuner.

A matter of fact, do not even engage tuners charging below $60 or $70. They’re either not properly trained or there to do a quick job and leave. Do not for the sake of saving a bit of money engage such tuners. There are many ‘grades’ of tuners, the really pro ones charge $100 and above. Especially for those with good pianos, do not let substandard tuners tune your pianos, they may damage your piano’s tuning pins with improper tuning technique, or break strings etc… I’ve heard lots of bad things…

Hello all, I am looking at changing my current piano tuner, and I would like to ask for some recommendation of good piano tuners…

Because the previous one changed my tuning timing and even came very late.

                Please share, thank you!

Hi, I found my piano tuner from a website online: http://www.attunepiano.com/

His name is Danny I think. Quite professional, good attitude. At first I was surprised that he uses iphone app to tune piano, but when I searched online it seems that it is accurate and the app is not cheap either. And after the tuning my piano indeed went back to A=440 for quite some time.

                  Sincerely hope it helps.

[Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with the piano tuner in any way]

I would recommend the following piano technicians:

                    1) Andy Png (http://www.pianos.com.sg/info2.asp?id=181)
                    2) Bee Shiuan 91371456
                    3) Mr. Chiu (Chiu piano)

I dont have good experience with the technician from \"Attune Piano\".
Tried their service 2 years ago, and that was 1st and last ...
The technician who tuned my piano was friendly but inexperienced.

I recently just engaged macrotune piano services for my grand piano tuning and took up a package with them for twice tunings per year. It worked out to be just $90 per tuning. Its consider cheap compared to others. And their service attitude are excellent. Steve the tuner explained alot on the piano maintenence and is very patient. Recently they just set up their facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/macrotunepiano maybe this will help.
