Can I check if your child’s school has exposed them to the new PSLE syllabus for Chinese? Mine is still doing the old syllabus for Chinese. But for English they have started stimulus based new syllabus exam format.

Is there a new PSLE format for Chinese? There is going to be a new MT curriculum for P1 2015 onwards leading to PSLE (I suppose to be new PSLE format but no details yet) in 2020.

My hubby told me: \"if you think he is a 220 calibre now, then it is time that we do something now so that he is more than a 220 calibre in 2017. If we choose not to do anything now, then we only have ourselves to blame when he is really a 220 calibre in 2017.\"bb_ mom:

The new Chinese curriculum will only affect 2008 born children onwards.
Pupils sitting for Psle 2017 (born 2005) are not affected. -
Thanks all for the clarification on the new chinese format. My younger child (2008 baby) is the pioneer batch. Till now the new chinese textbook is not out in the market yet and all assessment books are not relevant since they were designed for the old textbook. Haiz…

Sorry parents, am getting confused. I read from other threads that the new mother tongue psle format will take effect in 2017.
