Difficult Relationship with Parents

Well the only part that does not tally is my brother is still living with my mother. But agree that it’s amazing our experiences are so similiar.

I always try to say as little as possible, and change the topic, if possible.

I made the poll question more straightforward cuz there may be some who get along with their parents except for some issues and vice versa

Anyway, I am not able to change the poll info now, but if any of you have a better way of phrasing the poll, what I can do is chk with the mods if it can be changed - no guarantees though

I always tell them, haiz, I actually get along better with my MIL. And i guess that is something we can be thankful for too!

some people really have horrid MILs.

My MIL has her quirks, but overall she's nice. And she always checks with me first before dealing with my DD.

And I feel paiseh sometimes cos last time when I was sahm she'll come (FIL too) my place on weekends to help with the kid too, and then they'd both help with the housework washing dishes and magickleening my floor if I'm in the room nursing baby!

my dad and my FIL are both star fathers and grandfathers. They deserve big big awards.

Hmmmm .... what can I say, my SIL completely cut off ties with mom, even her kids don't bother calling my mom. My brother at one pt of time too, did not communicate with my mom until recently. But if push comes to shove, he will def relent and go along with his wife.

My mom can be quite a confrontational person ... hence the r/s soured bet them. Sad ... I have seen the effects on my bro's kids and that is exactly what I don't want to happen to mine.
