it seems like we have very little options in tampines. ๐Ÿ˜ž

i did a booking for josiah montessori.. but i'm a little hesitant.. but it seems like its the best i can find last minute.

i'm looking at half-day playschool options around simei/tampines, preferably more play-based. did you go for josiah in the end? any comments?

When I visited and spoke to the teachers, it seemed that it was more learning through play than say PCF schools.

And I suppose montessori methods are more individualised and not stressful or rote, each kid can go at his or her own pace...

So am considering Josiah as well. Convenience of location is another major factor for me. hope this helps. :)
Hi, I did enquire about Josiah too.. like the way they prepare the kids for P1 but however, personally don't quite like the environment and they merge the Pre-nur and Nursery, K1 and K2 together. The fees are a little too costly too me too. ๐Ÿ™‚

I've just enrolled my kids (4yrs and 2yrs) at the Little Skool House. Newly open at the Tampines Jucttion Building. Environment is nice, new and bright but not too sure abt the teaching though cos really new sch. Teachers are nice and friendly too.

Like what toddles said, convenient is important so that's why i put them there. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks all for the feedback. I checked out little skool house as well but it's more a childcare arrangement as opposed to a 2-3hr programme that I'm more inclined towards. And yes, was also thinking that I hadn't had the chance to see the teachers at work so I've put it on the kiv list for the moment. Would appreciate it if you could let us have some feedback after your kids have started school, thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

i have 2 kids attending character montessori pasir ris, and am happy to say they are once again enjoyving the playschool. some of you parents may have been aware of the incident one year ago, where a new centre manager who was posted to CMPR introduced many changes and practices to the detriment of studentsโ€™ welfare and overall staff morale. iโ€™m glad to say that, following discussions between unhappy parents and CM, positive action was taken to remedy the situation. My kids are once again happy at CMPR, which provides a supportive and encouraging environment for learning, in a well-housed location. Their teachers are dedicated team who enjoy working with the kids. Note that CMPR is having Family & Friends Day this Saturday (15 May) from 10am-2pm. Interested parents might want to check out the school, and speak to the lady in charge, Mrs Grace Ng.
