      Erhm, I've been waiting for this to show up in KSP but no one reads Lianhe Zaobao it seems...


      小一明年起使用新母语教材
      其他年级母语课本将陆续更新

      明年开始,小学一年级的新课本将融合汉语拼音与认字教学,让小一生同步学习拼音和汉字。新教材提供更贴近生活的学习活动,也加入更多科技元素。

      新教材是建立在现有教材的基础上,并配合学生在语文学习的发展阶段,例如先培养口语能力。教材的设计会融入不同教学法,以照顾不同程度与能力的学生。新教材也会继续让学生接触母语文化与价值观。

      为推展2010年母语检讨委员会倡议的“乐学善用”教学愿景,教育部明年起分阶段推出新的母语教材与课本。明年上小学一年级的新生是第一批使用新教材的学生。名为“欢乐伙伴”系列的课本与教材更着重于提供与日常生活息息相关的学习活动,以加强学生在口语和书写方面的表达能力。

      汉语拼音教学也会有所调整。从1999年起至今,小一学生在开学的首10周会先学习汉语拼音,接下来才学习识字。从明年起,新课本将融合认字与拼音教学,小一学生会同步学习拼音与汉字。

      新教材也加入更多科技学习元素,如动画与数码互动游戏,旨在使学习母语的过程更有趣。2015年之后,教育部每年会推出另一个年级的新教材,如后年推出二年级教材;到了2020年,小一至小六生都会使用新教材。

      教育部兼通讯及新闻部政务部长沈颖昨早出席母语学习论坛时,宣布这项消息。
      配合华文新教材而设计的人物昨天也首次在论坛上亮相。这些与学生年龄相仿的虚构人物——“小安”与“小乐”等将出现在课本与大图书等教材中,陪伴学生学习母语。教育部希望这些课本人物面对的情景能引起学生的共鸣,帮助学生更有效地掌握应用母语的技巧。

      沈颖致词时指出,自2010年母语检讨委员会的建议出炉后,教育部已逐步更新母语教材,包括在2011年推出强调沟通技巧的教学配套,以及在去年设立iMTL乐学善用互动平台。

      她说:“明年新母语教材旨在培养学生语言能力,让学生在日常生活中能有效且自信地与人沟通。

      “新教材是建立在现有教材的基础上,并配合学生在语文学习的发展阶段,例如先培养口语能力。教材的设计会融入不同的教学法,以照顾不同学习程度与能力的学生。新教材也会继续让学生接触母语文化与价值观。”

      针对汉语拼音教学的改变,沈颖受访时解释说,教育部注重的是达到“一个整体的教学效果”。

      她也鼓励家长利用现有的母语学习资源,培养孩子对母语学习的积极态度。

      家长支持汉语拼音教学调整

      受访的家长和教师十分支持汉语拼音教学的调整。
      家长谭嘉慧(38岁,行政人员)育有一对儿女,7岁的儿子刚上小一,女儿则是5岁。她告诉记者,儿子起初接触汉语拼音时,时常会把拼音和英文字混淆。她说:“同步学习汉字与拼音对母语学习比较有意义,可以避免孩子混乱英文与拼音。”

      全面推出新教材之前,教育部在42所小学展开试教,静山小学是其中一所试用部分新教材的学校。该校高级华文教师陈楚芬在一堂课上试用一段展示汉字从甲骨文演变的动画。她发现,学生看了动画后,对汉字的印象更深刻。她觉得:“同步教汉字的音、义与形更容易让学生产生对汉字的联系,这对母语的学习更有帮助。“

      依布拉欣小学华文教师魏爱玲也试用了新的教学动画。在试教的动画中,主人翁“小安”到处寻找不见的文具。她说,学生通过这种互动方式更有效地认识不同文具的名称,也学习应用特定的句式。动画描绘的情境贴近学生日常生活,因此他们的学习兴趣也有所提高。

      母语学习论坛上亮相

      第三届母语学习论坛规模更大,以“乐游在缤纷的母语乐园中”为主题的活动设有40个展摊,比去年多12个。参展的机构与学校利用这个平台向家长与教育工作者介绍有趣的母语教材与教学法,推广“乐学”华文。

      《联合早报》旗下学前教育刊物《小小拇指》推出的首个免费华文学习应用程序“走·拍·学”也在这个活动上亮相。这个应用程序由李光耀双语基金赞助开发。

      “走·拍·学”本土化内容受家长欢迎

      供免费下载的iPad应用程序以动画形式向学生介绍本地的场所与景点如巴刹、咖啡店、图书馆、圣淘沙与滨海湾花园等。动画的主人翁是《小小拇指》漫画人物小拇指和妞妞,学生在观看动画的同时也学习如何在不同情境中应用华语。
      学生观看动画后得回答相关问题,有些问题也非常本土化,例如“踢球”指的是什么饮料?若小朋友仔细观赏介绍“咖啡店”动画,就知道正确答案是“美禄”饮料。
      在金融业工作的家长麦丽丽(38岁)觉得,市场上虽然也有其他辅助华文学习相关的应用程序,但未必符合本地的语言环境。这个应用程序的内容具本地特色,孩子也能进一步认识一些地标。

      用故事扩大华语词汇量

      居住在台湾的荷兰籍创意教学专家唐睿谦(R.Tamminga)也应邀在昨天的论坛上主讲华文讲座“让故事活起来”。他擅长以说唱方式和简单道具,讲述绘本故事。
      育有一名5岁儿子的陈慧彦(36岁,会计师)昨天出席这场讲座。她较少用华语同孩子沟通,因此希望能利用主讲者分享的建议来提高孩子接触华文的机会,例如善用故事来扩大孩子的词汇量。

      母语学习论坛由教育部与推广华文学习委员会、推广马来文学习委员会及推广淡米尔文学习委员会联合主办,吸引一万多名公众前去参观。

          thanks for the upload. some parents may prefer to read it in chinese 🙂

          actually i saw the headlines in the chinese newspaper duing the weekends too
          was waiting for someone to load the english version.
          didnt see it, so went to do a quick search and came up with the MOE link

              Maybe got people read...but like me, if they start at 8am...probably finish reading only at 1pm 😓 ...so you posted before we could finish! :gloomy:
