Australia - Tasmania

Agree on the self-drive. Neat network of highways, easy to drive about. Lots of decently priced motels for families.
There are some asian restaraunts in the bigger cities. But the smaller towns only serve western food.
Recommend to stay overnight at Bicheno, to see wild Pengiun. They will swamp up the shore and walked pass the houses at night.
We stayed at this Diamond Island Resort. Nice and decently priced for family, and the resort organise Pengiun tour that is right on the resort beach. The pengiuns walked past our room right outside our windows … -
:thankyou: for all the valuable inputs.
Tasmania is a place on my must-go list before I ... -

Even went to one of the destinations mentioned in Lonely Planet. Let me check. Cannot remember the name already. Off the beaten path. -
Google Bay of Fires. Mentioned in Lonely Planet. When we went there, many tourists did not know about it yet. Lovely!

Weather wise, Tassie is the coolest state in comparison to the other states in Australia. Nov is not too hot. Some might even need a light coat in the evening, especially by the sea or up the mountain.
