Love4learning:
HI Parents,
anyone with kids doing Golf as cca? May I Know how many times a wk they do trainings and where? So far is that CCA tough to get in? What about shooting? I bet this cca must be competitive and popular...
Thanks!
My son is in the air pistol shooting team. Practice is 2 to 3 times a week, 3 hours per session. This increases to almost everyday before Nationals. On certain days he gets home at 8pm, and although this timing may seem tight, it teaches him to prioritize and learn to manage his time.
Closer to exams, the CCA schedule takes a back seat, and practices can be cancelled altogether. It's all about balance. -
Golf requires prior experience.
Shooting are mostly consists of experienced shooters and few new shooters, so chances are slim. -

How many days training per week? timing? -
@Love4learning Yeah I think that should do.
@Candiess Still got chance, but should run fast. Both are sport CCAs, thrice a week, Monday to Friday, 3.30pm onwards (not sure when they end). -
RafflesianSnr:
end at 6:30, may be, then debrief, pep talk, then pack the store etc etc ...if lucky can leave school at 7:30 or 7:45pm@Love4learning Yeah I think that should do.

Thanks RafflesianSnr and Pirated.
So the audition for Rugby and Hockey will be based on running? He can run but no experience in either sport. Will he be tested on the rules of the games, etc?
Do they end the CCA in school or some other training field? If they end so late, do they have time to rest and do homework at night?
What about uniform CCA like NCC? Not so hectic? -

If keen, choose it after the profiling and see if selected or not. Each sports cca's profiling is diff, as each sport's skill focus is diff. They will be tested accordingly. There have been people with no experience at all but still ended up in school team.
The hint will be given like \"if u put them as first choice you will get it\"....
