          "until" means up to a certain point right?

          Or should it be:

          The tennis match can continue until it starts to rain.

            Hi ks2me, that is wrong because your synthesised sentence means that it has not rained yet, while the sentence above the synthesised one says that it is already raining…

                "Until" does mean up to a certain point, so,
                The tennis match cannot continue until (up till this point) it stops raining.

                Unless is also correct (although it’s not part of the question) but it depends on a situation, ie, when it stops raining.
