My DS initially wanted MBP but didn’t dont want to be the odd one out since most of them will get MBA.
Finally order a 13" MBA with customized to 8gb ram via the school vendor. Vendor told me collection will be at least 20 working days. -

Yeah. We were thinking of doing the same. But not sure if Apple Store can do it immediately on the spot for you. Anybody tried adding RAM at the Apple store directly?

Getting from Apple store may be a bit troublesome and you cannot get educational price unless you have tertiary student pass. -

From personal experience, even scoring A* for normal chinese may not be good enough to take HCL. DD and DS pri sch only starting to offer HCL at P5, both took HCL at P5 and pulled out after a year. DD failed her HCL and DS was last among the whole level. However, DD and DS scored A* and A in PSLE respectively. Just my personal experience and not to discourage others.

Once you bought a 4gb version, there is no way to upgrade. -
