Not gonna apply for extra time. DS wants to speed thru so extra time doesn't help. And most times, during practices, he's able to complete the papers within the time frame.Bb mom,

And yes, exemption all the way. My only worry is if for some reason, moe offers eg Malay as a 3rd language, the way it was offered to DD, then how? In such instance, I recall reading that he will have to take that as MT??? Was confused with that... Any idea? -

don't remember my son having to take malay as a 3rd language...it was just a few lessons....if daughter has to take another language, then i'm going to flip.

out of the blue, I suddenly thought of her MT exemption and whether it applies to PSLE...that got me :nailbite: for a few minutes, which was why I had to ask you. -
It’s deemed as if our kids passed the basic requirement for purpose of uni entry… Whew! Will faint if have to pick it up in secondary school.

no way will they be required to take up MT again in secondary school...they can't even handle it at primary level.

You can afford to be a little more relaxed than me. Please note - it's more than me, not that you can relax.
But I'm sure you've seen improvements in your girl's work, right? My frustration is DS can do the work I give him, generally. But I still don't see that in his test papers. Freaking out that his CA1 will start on 2 Mar. :nailbite: -

i see a little improvement but i dare not think of her CA1...at least not for the time being. -

Perhaps you are freaking your child out with your expectations. :siam: -
My son is definitely not freaked out, not that I want him to be. Would be terrible if he freaks out. He’s still laid back. Playtime with his friends as usual from 5pm to 630pm everyday. If friends are not free, he’ll be either playing with Rubik’s cube or iPad or Lego. Weekends are free from lunch time onwards.
