Yes yes .... dd told me the food was super nice. Very high class food. Worth more than $1. She and friends ate the leftovers for free.
I hear from ds that RJ even has something called Mega Mugging Madness.. a few weeks before A levels..jetsetter:
Eh hello, RJC also had mugging culture ok. HCJC too.
Students staying back in school to mug late can get a good dinner at $1 (?), organized by the wonderful PVs..

How is SAJC? Haven't seen much discussion on this JC so far.
Also a good jc with strong support and great tradition. Anglican value. -
The cost of the dinner was definitely more than $1. The $1 was collected to give an indication as to the number of students who were having dinner, so the organizers could plan future dinners even better. I'm surprised your dd managed to eat the leftovers. The dinners are usually so popular there isn't any leftovers.
The ambience in the school during the weeks before A levels is very supportive with students coming together to study, parents giving support through activities like this and lots of encouragement from the Year 5s to the Year 6s. -

Just to share that SJI IB first batch results are similar to what ACS(I) first batch of results back in 2007, the average back then was also 39.4 though SJI had a higher percentage of 40 points and above of 57.9% vs ACS(I) first batch which was 54.9%
i would only do ib in acs(i) imo. ib in sji is relatively new while acs(i) has been doing ib for a lot longer. this shows in the results - acs(i) has been consistently dominating ib. however, from your score you might not get into acs(i) (cop 5). as for tjc vs acjc, i think you should choose the one nearer to home. you could try appealing to vjc/acs(i) as well. that's just my advice, ultimately the decision is yours to makelesleer:
What about sci for me?
I got nett of 6 points, 8-2
I wish to appeal for vjc sci
if not I'm deciding between TJC, SJI and ACJC.
I seem to like acjc culture more, but far
TJC is one of the most common schools ppl in my school choose to go, relatively convenient but I'm worried over their slipping performance and the boring culture?
SJI offers the IB which I'm very interested in, but it's a tad far ( nearer than AC) and it's an unconventional route, which I'm not sure if I'm prepared to take..

http://www.sji.edu.sg/news-and-events/n ... ptoh_54016
that's true, but from the sources you linked, acs(i) had around 5x the number of students as sji. regardless, my point was that currently, acs(i) has already established themselves as a powerhouse but sji is still new to the ib scene -
Any speculation on the COP of JCs this year? Up or down?

5%. I think yes. But how do they count? Based on l1r5 only? -
sinoboy:
top 5% based on l1r5 only, cause ESIP is only for independent JCs. If the student is eligible for ESIP, it will be indicated at the bottom of their Form A. From the MOE website: \"Within the top 5% of all students who sat for the O-Level Examinations (Based on L1R5 scores)\"mama of 2:
