What is SA2 paper about ?P2s will have SA2 end of this year...the first intro to what an exam is.
But sitting for national exam is different feeling.
P1-4, understanding concepts. I think it is less stressful compared to p5.
Enjoy the time in p2 as much as possible.
Test our kids Topics taught only in Term 4, or from the whole year (Term 1 to Term 4) ? -

As mine the age gap is quite wide apart, so there maybe changes in MOE's rules and regulations, then my info may seem outdated by then.

Honeymoon year is definitely over for my little golden piggy (DS2). His Chinese teacher texted all parents yesterday to prepare for his Chinese ting xie and mo xie. Ting Xie increased from 5 to 10 phrases and mo xie is no longer read out by teacher. P2 piggies need to memorise the sentence...I'm in shock.

Really agree that foundation is very impt so am bookmarking this thread to learn all I can for DS2, DS3 and Jubilee DD4.
DS1 is in Sec 3 this year, so gotta look for O levels thread to bookmark. haha.... :imdrowning: -
My gal who is a piglet is in P2 and she joined ballet last year and going for her grading this March. Unfortunately her school do not recognise ballet as a CCA but as a enrichment. Because of exams, now she is going twice a week. I was having a talk with my gal and was suggesting her whether she would like to drop after her grading exam because when she goes to P4, she needs to choose a CCA. Will she have time to cope with her studies going for ballet, CCA and supplementary classes if any. My gal is very stubborn and said she can cope and beg me not to withdraw her from Ballet. I am so confused. What should i do?
Shall i just let her go and see how she does in Pri 4 before making a decision? Will it be too late? One one hand, i really love to support her interest but on the other hand, i am scared she may burn outβ¦
Appreciate your adv on this as i am at a loss what to do? -
as long as she is interested, do not drop out. Anyone can mug for spelling, but not everyone can dance. I will definitely support her as long as she is committed. P4 is a long way off.
Just to add, I donβt think P4 is a very heavy year. Should have time for an enrichment class eg art, dance, swimming etc. -
Thanks ammonite.

But I do agree that laying the foundation early makes life easier towards the end. ε―δ»₯ε₯½εε₯½η‘ till the end.
On the other hand, different children really need different amount of work as strengths, weaknesses and personalities are different. Besides written work, don't forget oracy, especially for the shy child.
Good to hear from you! I'm so happy to see/hear/read you! :hugs: -
I still think tat practice makes perfect.
Like sports, writing skills, problem solving skills and language skills need constant practice before it can be perfected. Go for the foundation first, once the kid is confident then throw in the difficult ones. It is training the brain to accustom to the questions asked. Sports is not just abt the physical, it is also abt training the brain to repeat the same action over and over again tat one can achieve more perfect skills.
