I've got 6 A1s with a nett of 3 (7-4). I'm thinking of placing RI, then HCI, then VJ. Personally, I really really love RI but I am afraid of taking the risk. I heard that it is easier to get into the latter compared to the former, but I also heard that if HCI isn't placed as your first choice the institution would not even look at your application at all. So what should I do? Is there anyone who managed to enter RI with nett 3?

Put RI as your first choice. Be prepared to appeal if not alloted. JAE exercise is computerized. School only look at your appeal or application subsequently if not alloted and you still want it.

My view is that yllsom may choose to have students who have a good grasp of chinese, so I am just worried that my C5 this time round would place me in a disadvantage (when I apply to yllsom as this C5 would be reflected as a D) since an A would be preferred.

So how should I place my second choice? HC or VJ?
Thanks so much for your help!

Is there a comparison between VJC and NJC? What about IB@ACSI? My DS got 7-5. Any advice?

academic wise, not much disparity. i would choose by location, unless school culture matters a lot to him.

vj has nicer uniform ๐Ÿ™‚ but academic wise, VJ does do better than TJ in terms of distinction rates.

How about comparing Dunman High to Temasek JC, where A level results concerned ?

What happen to Temasek JC now ?

Pupils staying in the east got 3 JC to choose from
