If i remember correctly you need to be a member in order to attend the SHHK lessons.

Classes at SHHK are open to all - just that members will get priority over non members (whose kids are not existing students) to enrol.

to clarify -
to attend SHHK enrichment / tuition lessons : any child can attend.
the enrichment lessons are open to ALL primary school children, regardless of whether they study in Hokkien clan affliated schools, or not.
SHHK don't bother which school the child study in, as long as got $ to pay enrichment per Term fees (11 lessons).

However, to enroll into an SHHK affliated school, for P1 admission, ah, is a different story.
for this : parents need to be a SHHK clan member, get hold of that Phase 2B Hokkien clan Approval letter, in order to register kid for Primary 1, on Phase 2B Registration day

what i understand is must walk in and tell them u want to register ad member. Only know address is at geylang lor 29. The clan is at geylang lor 29. My dada has no telephone number. Maybe someone can go and check out and see wat is needed

Phtthp, i have no idea how many members and i have not been to the clan before. I don't even know how the place look like or where it is located exactly except for the address i have been given.

Anyhow my kids are in primary school so i may not be in the best position to answer since it seems ages since i am involved with the Hokkien clan.
Now mainly involved with school PSG

Does anyone know the requirements for phase 2B for church assosication?

I would like to enrol my boy in SJI Junior but he is not baptised catholic yet. Will my own baptism cert be sufficient to qualify for phase 2B? I read this in MOE website but am not sure what letter they require:

"A letter from the organisation to certify that the parent is a member endorsed by the organisation directly connected to the school must be provided."

What organisation is directly connected to SJI Junior? Thank you very much!

SJI is a catholic school, as long as one of the parents has a baptism cert (Letter mentioned in MOE website) from any catholic church in singapore. Child need not be batised.

Go to history somewhere at 50+ page, there is a parent sharing her experience on SJI years back.

Easiest, just call up the school and enquire and confirm.
