any student play Liu Qin here, in Chinese Orchestra ?

      http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liuqin

Which one easier to play : Liu Qin or pipa or Guzheng ?

personally i feel that pipa is really hard...liuqin, prolly require smaller hands

Agree! Think pipa is difficult esp for beginners. Liuqin should be easier

They say that boys often play Erhu, girls play Guzheng, inside Chinese Orchestra.

If girls want to learn Erhu : easy or difficult ?

I dont think there is a difference in gender for Erhu. One of the Erhu instructors, 王桂英老师 ,is a lady.

              Hi,

Anyone know how many classes of triple science/humanities and double science/double humanities in year 3 this year? Any special class for these two category? Thanks.

                :congrats:

The school is proud of the 2014 Year 6 cohort for their hard work and achievements. They have achieved the ever best results since DHS offered IP in 2005:

46.1% of the cohort achieved at least 3 H2 Distinctions.

48.8% of the cohort achieved at least 4 Distinctions.

111 Dunmanians achieved at least 6 Distinctions.

42 Dunmanians achieved at least 7 Distinctions.

9 Dunmanians achieved at least 8 Distinctions.

84.6% of Dunmanians who offered H3 subjects attained Distinction or Merit.

39.7% of Dunmanians who offered H3 subjects attained Distinctions.

                Edit to add...

Based on the chinese version stated in DHS website n from my gal's pic of the slide presentation...
The % of the cohort which achieve at least 4 Distinctions is 65%

                264 (65%) 考生考到4个A

Congrats to all the 2014 Dunmanians.

DHS’s grades are improving each year, especially for Economics which someone previously (if I remember correctly) mentioned that DHS is not good in Economics.

So those who are keen to come to DHS, pls don’t believe in hearsay but statistics.

Well done! Two consecutive years of good results...based on percentage of 3 H2 distinctions this should put DHS is the top 4 schools this year.

Hope this dispel all doubts about DHS's competency in its senior high section

As announced in Straits Times today, 50% of the cohort in VJC achieved at least 3H2 Distinctions.
