Yamaha Electone Festival 2010
Experience the splendour of Electone music as talented musicians gather once again for the Yamaha Electone Festival 2010. The excitement begins at the Heats where contestants will be selected to compete in the Yamaha Electone Festival - Final.
Grand Prix winners of the Competitive Category will enjoy an all-expense-paid trip to Taipei, Taiwan, to take part in the Asia-Pacific Electone Festival (APEF) on the 18th Sep 2010.
An all-expense-paid trip to Tokyo, Japan will be awarded to the Grand Prix winner of the Open Age Section in the APEF, participate at the prestigious Yamaha Electone Concours. -

Even if you don't win, you will get more exposure. E.g. every year, the JSAC kids will have an individual performance in the Yamaha showroom. But those who perform at the festival will get to perform to the public (last year it was at Plaza Sing atrium).Yamaha Electone Festival 2010

I agree.
Registration I just realised ends 31 March. Will the teacher/s automatically register for them? -

I don't think so. Perhaps year 1 is a little too early for them to join. Maybe next year?

Aha, I actually had a different thought. If joining competition at this age is for exposure and that kid can play a complete solo song per festival requirement, why not?
But I am the lazy parent type  will not bother if teacher doesn't auto register <SLAP><SLAP> -
Hi acforfamily and radiantmum
Perhaps both of you could advise me. DD just got back her FSS results from her teacher. She had done well, getting excellent for all the tested items. However, we have not received any letter from Yamaha regarding any audition for JSAC selection. Does that mean that she has not done well enough to go for the audition? Or perhaps the letter will come later?
