Even if you don't win, you will get more exposure. E.g. every year, the JSAC kids will have an individual performance in the Yamaha showroom. But those who perform at the festival will get to perform to the public (last year it was at Plaza Sing atrium).

                  I agree.

Registration I just realised ends 31 March. Will the teacher/s automatically register for them?

I don't think so. Perhaps year 1 is a little too early for them to join. Maybe next year?

Aha, I actually had a different thought. If joining competition at this age is for exposure and that kid can play a complete solo song per festival requirement, why not?

But I am the lazy parent type  will not bother if teacher doesn't auto register <SLAP><SLAP>

                        Hi acforfamily and radiantmum

Perhaps both of you could advise me. DD just got back her FSS results from her teacher. She had done well, getting excellent for all the tested items. However, we have not received any letter from Yamaha regarding any audition for JSAC selection. Does that mean that she has not done well enough to go for the audition? Or perhaps the letter will come later?
