Hmm...my DS is sec 3 this year.

He was in a neighbourhood primary school and from my experience, the school was drilling them with higher standard type of questions compare to PSLE questions.
so we are in the same boat? one in sec 3, one in p5?
next year PSLE and O levels?

My understanding is that 75 is an A in psle. T score depends on cohort performance.

So on the paper 75 and 85 are both A, but the t-score will not be the same (both before and after adjusting for bell curve).

That would means how \"correlated\" or close that Primary School levels to PSLE levels.....All TOP Primary schools will be much tuned and aligned to what the PSLE expectation so they could estimated Tscore base on their Prelim or even P5... for neighbourhood schools it may not be that way..if you score say 80-90 maynot translate A in the PSLE...I think it happened with my nephew after he got his PSLE last year..so its a bit worry for my DD cos she is not from any of the \"TOP school\"...

Ya, heard stories from my friends that a few kids 260+ but in the end, only 240+ for psle. School must have set an easy paper for prelims. But usually, should be +/- 10 from your prelims after checking with kids who sat for psle last year.

My ds knew all his ca1 results except for science. Drop in all subjects compared to p4 but still above 80. Hv not seen the papers so not sure whether they were too easy. Also no compo & oral. So results were based on paper 2 only.

CA1 usually does not test oral and compo.

for some schools which set easy prelim papers, actual PSLE minus 10-20 points. even if the school sets a reasonably close standard to psle, the child should not be over-confident.

                Hi,

I want to prepare my daughter for the DSA to one of the girl’s school.

Please advise what would be the best option to go via., the academic route. since she changed school in between, she couldn’t get into any of the school teams for the CCA’s

Appreciate your help. Her academic is quite OK. mostly 85+ in 3 subjects

My colleague’s son wanted to go SOTA after his PSLE this year.

                    They went for the briefing.
It’s a IB school; students will guaduate with a diploma after 6 years of education.

the entrance is strictly by DSA. training is specialized.

                        Hi all,

My girl too will be sitting for PSLE in 2016…

Looking at the results for the CA that was just over… Not too great…

Does anyone know of any good English teacher that had help students achieved A* in PSLE?

Please recommend. No Agents or self intro tutor please.

I need someone who had used and tested. Need urgently. Tks

                        We are in the west…
