But what i know from my chairman is EM and AM now share the same benefits from last year Oct... Is it true? So AM also can apply in Phases 2B?
Can i check if the above is true? I'm currently an Observer in my RC, but i am moving house soon. I'm told that if by that time i achieve EM status, i can transfer it to the NC of my new place. But i was thinking of maintaining AM status in the current RC if AM and EM get the same priviledges when it comes to Phase 2B.
Would appreciate any advice! Thanks in advance! -
Hi, I am newbie here. Want to seek your advice here:
My daugher was born in 2007 and will be registerted in P1 in 2014. I am eyeing at RULANG primary school but I am living out of 2Km. It's very difficult to appy PV so I joined in the NC in my condo and want to go through the active community leader route to enter Phase 2B. Understoon that RULANG need balloting in 2B phase if distance >1Km. So thinking to buy a new house( CASPIAN, TOP IN 2013) near RULANG and move in when it's time to register.
So if I have get the endorsement letter as an executive member from PA and I move to the new property, is the endoresment letter entitle me to register my girl in phase 2B in Rulang school after I move house and use new address to register? Pls note that my current condo and new house and RULANG are in the same GRC(JURONG GRC).
This is very important for me to make decesion of buying a new house or not.
THANK YOU! -
just read from http://www.pa.gov.sg/media-files/about-us/Rules-RC-04-09.doc
An Executive Member shall cease to be a member when he is no longer \tresiding in the Designated Zone.
Associate Members shall be appointed by the Chairman or Deputy
Chairman, Board of Management, for a term of two years, from among persons who are:
\t(a)\tCitizens or Permanent Residents of Singapore;
\t(b)\tnot less than 18 years of age;
\t(c)\tnot residing in the Designated Zone; and
\t(d)\tin a position to contribute significantly to the functions of the Committee.
46\tAssociate Members shall be entitled to all the benefits similar to those \tenjoyed by an Executive Member.
Therefore, in my case, if I become an executive member in my current NC, after I move to new house near the school (all within same GRC), i can still serve the same NC and convert to Associate member and entitle the benefits of 2B registration. Am I right, Chief? :love: -

If I gather correctly, I can’t join the rc/nc in that grc as I’m nt stayg there rite? Bt I can join in the wec there? My status will b an associate member oni at the end of the day? Can this be use for applicatn in P2B? I hv intentn to move to the grc of my dream sch to be <1km fr the sch but tat will oni be closer to the registratn period in 2013. Possible to still go by this path? Coz nw searchg for a hse bt the prices so rocket high nw. So tot I cld serve 1st then slowly search a hse. Kindly advise. Tks -

if i am not wrong, you could be a associate member, however, the term is only 2 years and its subject to the availablity of the \"seats\" and approval of the CCC / RC for any extention after each term.
