for St Anthony, if you are using Caregivers' address legally, you need to make a http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/#statutory-declaration. with that, your application will be categorised under the 1-2km from school category even if the caregiver's address is less than 1km from the school. with that, you will stand zero chance in Phase 2C as balloting is required for application within 1km from school
You saying that those in P2C will stand 0 chance ???? What if i take the risk and proceed with it and then if cannot get, i revert back to CCKPS ?
Thanks -

for SAPS, in Phase2C, those staying more than 1km has zero chance. those using caregiver's address legally (ie requiring statutory declaration), will have their application deemed as category 1-2km despite physically staying within 1km from the school, hence they will stand zero chance too.

don't waste your chance trying. if you really think may have miracle, check the statistics again on the last day of phase 2C registration (can call up school to check) and then you can decide whether to proceed to register or reserve your chance for another school. -
thanks jedamum, will seriously need to discuss this with my wife…she is going to be very disappointed.
Cheers -

no worries. it is better to be informed now than waste your chance due to ignorance. study the balloting stats carefully and then map out a backup plan - 2yrs ago, i did my registration on the last day after lunch break after my first choice school (nearest school) staff confirmed that i stand no chance due to distance (ie 1-2km).thanks jedamum, will seriously need to discuss this with my wife...she is going to be very disappointed.
Cheers
good luck. -

Hi,Hi all,
I am a new user and daddy of 3. My eldest son is in K2 now and I am having headache on where to register him next yr.
1st choice SV - more than 1km less than 2km so meaning balloting require and chances not high.
Thanks and cheers
Cheng
If you are not staying within 1KM of SV, dont bother to waste time doing PV, cos last year PV ballot within 1KM, and those PV beyond 1KM just have no chance to ballot at all.
Similarly, phase 2C is very competitive for those within 1KM from the sch.
As for DLS, standard dropped already...
Some more they would move to Teck Wyne for 2 years, will become worse then.... -

go to the first post of this thread and click onto the balloting history stats to see which school you likely to have chance for your phase (eg for Unity, yew tee, de la salle, based on last year, there is balloting for less than 1km, so if you stay beyond that distance, you better have a backup school cos if there is still balloting within 1km, those staying beyond 1km is wasting their time/chance registering for these schools), beside deciding which one you should go for.
de la salle will be temporary relocated to teck whye, so you may want to consider that too. -

Hi CSS,
Just to let u know tat S’porean kids would have 2 chances in the event of balloting as compared to 1 chance for non-S’porean kids.
You may want to take that into consideration esp if you are considering
SV where even those who had put in PV hours were seconded out for
those > 1km.
Cheers!
