I am very disturbed with upon learning about this. With 2 girls in primary school, I am not sure if they would be vulnerable in school. This is especially so after a disturbing trend of MOE teachers preying on their students, regardless of their age and gender.
MOE should review it's teachers selection process.
Not only Male Tr molest girl, but also Male Tr molest boy
here, there is a Male Disciplinary Master in primary school, molesting a P6 boy.
same sex : men with boys :yikes:

Yup, very common now. This has become a disturbing trend.

MOE has released a no. of media statements on code of conduct. Minister also reiterated the core values + selection process during the MOE Workplan Seminars and in Parliament.
I'm more amused by how TNP reported the case:
In April 2013, the pair would meet in their school's indoor sports hall where he hugged, kissed and French kissed the girl.
Would it make any diff? A kiss is a kiss, and is a violation.

Preying on student is one matter.
Being in a educational role, potential of spreading the idea that LBGT is \"normal\" is a bigger danger.
Too bad the gov turned a blind eye to this, claiming \"inequality\" or whatever.
A person with this kind of abnormal inclination shouldn't be an educator.
Could it be these pple became educator bcoz of their strong \"belief\" and trying to spread the flawed \"belief\"? -

Think it's time for principals to take steps to arrange for students to attend talks on such matters - the key being that it is NOT RIGHT for adults to have sex / relationships with children & teenagers.
Far too many cases (besides the recent case of that engineer who did it to 31 boys and videotaped the acts) !!!!!
Two months ago, my ds showed me a photo of a man sitting outside Coffee Bean at Bishan Junction 8. Photo was taken by a boy in his whatapps group titled 'Bishan Gay Man'. Another boy then replied that this man had bought him a McD meal and invited him to this man's home!!!! And to think that there are several boys' schools in that area!
I don't understand why is the male teacher let off with only 12 months of jail :spank: after his mitigating claim to be impotent after his wife's miscarriage (subsequent year, they had another baby and the kissing took place when his baby was 4mths old).

Even though he didn't cross the line but a deterrent sentence is well-merited to prevent similar recurrences. Spooks me to learn that all these activities took place in PE storeroom, school toilet cubicles or behind the computer labs (of primary schools). :slapshead:
