Giggler1:
My ds P2 this year. It's not the school, it's the teacher who makes the difference. Cos my dd in the same school and P5 this year, she has not been writing any compo at all!!! Hahaha
Very hard to find good Tr nowadays -
Ya I agree! Luckily it’s my ds got this teacher if it’s my dd who need to face this teacher, then I need to pull my hairs very often. Cos my P5 dd still in lala-land now, not into study mood yet.

Giggler1:
Only 2 compo a term? My ds having compo every week, sometimes about 2 compo a week. Take for eg, this long weekend, he had to write 2 compos and 1 booklet. Good for him to practise writing but at times it is too much for him to handle.
Hi Giggler1, does your ds teacher guide them to do composition in class or the work is sent back for the child to complete? There is a difference between quality teaching and quantity teaching. I hope your ds teacher guide the class to write composition and make them do re-draft. -
Ds’ teacher go through the 3 pictures in class. End of the lesson, they will need to copy the helping words during the class discussion. Thereafter, they need to write the compo at home. They do re-draft a few times after the teacher saw their compo. Not sure if this is considered quality teaching or quantity teaching liao.

very seldom, rare do you find a Form Tr so hardworking in school, to train students in writing. She is a gem ! -
Really? Then my ds is lucky! Hopefully she will be the form teacher for my #3 also.
