May I know what it means if TSH is too low and out of the range and the rest of the readings are ok. Is it considered as thyroid problem?

If you cough hard, you may break some surface blood vessels in the throat. Maybe ask your doctor or pharmacist for something that will thin the phlegm and make it easier to cough out?

Yes, 5 sisters and the list is not exhaustive šŸ™‚
thought you were referring to sisters with blood relation šŸ˜‰
hmm ... whatever do you mean by that? My sisters are related to me by blood. We are even born to the same parents. I'd meant I don't just have 5 sisters šŸ™‚ if I understand your post correctly.

[/quote]sorry sorry!! Pls accept my apologies! I misunderstood your post. When u said the list is not exhaustive, I assumed you were referring to those ē»“ę‹œå§å¦¹ and thus you have many many sisters.

I have been having phlegm in the morning. Have to use a lot of strength to spit it out.

These few days, the phlegm comes out with some blood. I do not know whether the blood is from brushing teeth or from the throat.

Same for clearing the mucus in the nose. There is some spots of blood.
Just something that works for me, is taking 1small spoon of manuka ( umf 5) or even normal honey last thing before bed.I swallow slowly like coating my throat with honey .

Also , if it is hard to remove phlegm , drink a couple of sips of something warm ( even water will do) to soothe and loosen before clearing your throat.

Two readings are important to see if there is any thyroid issue.
One is the TSH, the other is the T4.
So if your TSH is too low, it is a case of hypothyroid. Your thyroid is not producing enough of the hormone.
Minimum is 0.36, so what is your reading?
Also, do you experience the symptoms like sleepiness, fatigue, weight gain etc?

My TSH was slightly low (about 1 unit below the minimum) but all other indicators were ok. The doctor said it was fine. No treatment needed.

I came across this web page when I was wondering what Free T4 and TSH are:

                        http://labtestsonline.org/understanding ... /tab/test/

It states the possible symptoms of hyper and hypothyroidism.

It also has a table stating the conditions you may have when your T4 and TSH are high/normal and low.
