Jx2mum:
I sincerely hope that parents of RGS will not divulge the information the school had shared with the students relating to the bullying case. Worse still if the comments posted are misinterpreted. Please give the school a break. It has already attracted too much unwanted attention. Let the court decide who's right and who's wrong.
I totally agree. Am upset to see a message posted in another thread, putting words in the P's mouth. Sigh! -

Support this totally, Jx2mum!Jx2mum:

Perhaps this person who had posted the misleading information can be responsible enough to delete that particular post ? Agree that it is very upsetting. -
Just4Fun:
When my daughter told me that the principal has explained the situation to them and she fully understood what had happened, I was pleased that the school has treated the students as adults by explaining and sharing information with them. Hence, I can't see how one can misunderstand what the principal has told the students.Jx2mum:

I just want to say that my daughter has been very happy in RGS for the last two years. She does not regret going to RGS. -
Truly agreed. Let us not give unnecessary comment especially we do not know head & tail of the whole situation.

Many gals are now in RJ, both my DDs, elder now in RJ and younger never never encountered any bullying in RGS. This ex-MEP girl really CMI and a prima Donna. .attitude just because she can’t have what she wanted. .spoilt the Rafflesian spirit.

Need advise from those who have girls or know anyone who DSA successfully via Chinese domain into RGS.
1) Are the successful cases mostly from China? What are the chances of local students?
2) Are there any specific traits or skills that the interviewers look for?
3) Do the girls need to join the relevant clubs, or can they choose other CCAs (eg. sports)? -
DD is struggling with Yr 1 chemistry. Any one else is too? Wonder how we can help? couldnt find tutor just for 1 semester.
-
Me too.. DD struggling with Bio.
I am concerned, but not too worried.
While browsing for some reference books, etc., I realized that they are actually learning pure bio, only reference book is the one meant for upper secondary.
I have asked her to :
- check if any classmates can help / buddy study with her
- seek help with her CCA seniors if possible
- arrange with subject teacher to help her understand the subject more after school
At this point, I have no intention to get her any tutor just yet, so I will let her rough it out for the rest of this semester. Next term, it will be a different science subject, though I am not sure if it will be Physics or Chem.
I try to help by being her :rahrah: , cheering her on, and telling her to give her best shot, chicken essence ... moral support. -
BlueBells:
Hi Bluebells, that's also the only thing I can do...being her :rahrah: but can feel that she is feeling demoralize having just manage to pass the Chem test. think they (and we) are not used to just :yikes: marks when they were in pri.Me too.. DD struggling with Bio.
