feel so relieved that exam over 2 days ago, on Tue (21 April)

On that day, early morning 9.30 am, the ballet Tr applied gel to their hair, bun up their hair nicely with a black, bun net & hair clips, put on a nice pink ribbon around their hair bun, while each girl waiting for their turn, to be called into the exam room. They all look so pretty. The examiner is an American lady.

Are parents allowed to buy this DVD, that show the step by step, Character dance ?

Yes, members of public are allowed to buy the DVD - it will be showing the dance, not really the step by step way of how to dance it.

One of DD ballet mummies ask her London colleague to buy online for her, then shipped to her. There should be an authorised dealer in Singapore as well - maybe can check with your ballet tr if interested.

Or only ballet teacher has this DVD that show / teaches all the steps and movement including the character dance? I only realise there is such a thing when teacher was playing the video during the actual exam day for the girls while waiting for their turn. Thanks.

I don't think there is a website link to watch the RAD ballet exam steps. But with the Internet technology, try googling (e.g. RAD Grade 1 character dance) and I am sure there will be youtube videos on little girls dancing, already posted. I always let my DD watch some of these youtube videos.

DVD is usually being purchased by the ballet teacher cos they are not cheap. My DD ballet tr will burn or loan the DVD to girls weaker in their steps, so that they can try to catch up on their steps at home. So we mummies end up quite happy if our girls are not handed these DVD by their tr. :rotflmao:

Usually the teacher will not burn the video DVD as there is a copyright and as I understand they have to sign the agreement that they will not be duplicated.... However, the teacher can help student to purchase the video DVD or music CD.

Just curious... If burn and loan, then still get back the burn DVD - is it still in breach? If yes, it's probably original DVD on loan by the ballet teacher to the students then. Didn't really ask or get to see the DVD.

G2 is darker blue G3 purple.

had checked with my girl's ballet Tr.
Tr said can use back the same Character skirt : for G2 and G3, no need to buy

My dd teacher from crestar said the same thing, can use back character skirt for G2 and G3.
