how much increment for maid who renew contract

Before my helper left, we added $50 per month at each renewal. At the 1st renewal, she had all Sundays off. Nothing else added thereafter.

reminds me that government law says she is entitled weekly off and no washing of cars. good, if she challenges me, I tell her government law did not indicated increment at every renewal :rahrah: -
I think a good way to find out how much increment for a new maid is to call up any random agency. Find out how much new hires would cost you. The first rule is that their salary should at least match the ones of new hires (yes, even though you don’t think she is worth it!)… because, new hires are the monsters you do not know… and if you think your current one is SO not worth it, you should not renew at all.
Disclaimer: This is not my rule. This is merely stating the expectation. -

My pinoy maid has been with mi since sep 2013.
She would like to extend another 2yrs.
Watz the norm for increments?
She was new when she joined mi, 502 (basic 450)+1off mthly.
My agent says an increase of 50.
So 500 + 4offs, is the norm.
And each OFF will b 19.

my maid joint 2014 Dec; she starts with me at 500 + 4 offs and i granted her extra sat off on and off if she has family coming to Singapore. -
My maid expected her salary top up when law changed it she was going to walk so I raised it to $50 after 1 year only then 2sunday off and 2 Saturday off… She still wanted more off…
Most friends renewal is $50 extra if they wanted to keep her. -

Actualy I m neutral. I did not ask her to stay.
I get my agent to look out for a new maid. N told him to ask my maid if she wants a ticket hm or contd to work in singapore.
She then cal him to say she wants to work but chg employer. A week later, she cal e agent n say wanna stay with mi.
So now, is whether I want to keep her.
She is ‘fine’, does her chores.
The Cons - talks back , argumentative , walks very slowly , refuse to cut her hair.
