In December 2006, to meet the needs of the Integrated programme, Dunman High moved to RJC (Mount Sinai), to allow for upgrading of the current site at Tanjong Rhu.
Didn't know dhs was there too....that is far!!Sun_2010:
You left out NUSH and DHS ...
now, the same apply to un-named JC, to allow construction at the piece of land reserved. -

Nebbermind:
Yes, it is a distance from the present Tanjong Rhu to Mt Sinai holding site...
Didn't know dhs was there too....that is far!!Sun_2010:
You left out NUSH and DHS ...
BUT heard that the school did make special transport arrangement ....
To transport pupils fr the present location to the holding site in the morning...for those who had problems getting there...(Any ex- dunmanians of the affected batch can double confirm this ?? as my gal isnt the affected batch)
Moreover, their morning flag raising time had been pushed later to commence at 8 a.m due to the longer road journey...
This practice has Not been changed even after DHS moved back to Tanjong Rhu...
Affected parents fr CHS, St Nicks n SCGS...
Suggest to discuss with the respective schs if the schs could step in to help to ease some of the transport issues should the decision of the holding site be final... -

\"IP students from CHS, CHIJ SNGS and SCGS will spend their first four years in their respective secondary schools, before they progress to a new government JC in 2017. For the initial batches, the new JC will operate at an interim campus to be located at the current ITE College Central (Bishan Campus). The interim campus will be fully furnished and equipped with the necessary resources for students to fully benefit from an enriched IP curriculum. More details of the permanent site will be released later.

Then the authorities need to honour their words. It is both written and verbally communicated.[/quote]
Do the authorities have to honour their words and address your concerns if they have their reasons?
Look at those property owners who are promised 99 or 999 years of land leasing and but still have to relocate due to some unforeseen government's projects. -

Yes a dialogue session is necessary in all the cases. -
Delay is not just once but twice.

Letβs not mould our new generation into θθδΈζγ
Itβs also unhealthy to reiterate about JCsβ ranking, encourage competitions among JCs, the new IP JC to surpass which and which top JCs and worrying about whether it could still attract top scholars into the JC.
Isnβt it more important to encourage our young generation to put in their best effort in everything they do, to be resilient like their parents, and contribute whole-heartedly to our nation in future and not to draw themselves boundaries of elitism and this myopic meritocracy in education?
