No matter how you perceive the different style of comments made here, the contribution of the participants have undeniably uncovered, discovered and clarified quite a lot of information and some of which can and will be used as 'bullets' when the so-called 'affected' parents go meet and deal with their Yoda or Darth Vader at MOE. I think some affected parents should have benefited from the balanced discussion here and have more points to consider to make a more informed decision and conclusion about the situation and what options are open to them. They may also have learnt others' viewpoints, concerns and wants.

Thank you for your viewpoints and concerns. If nothing else, the affected parents have built up their emotional resiliency after enduring all the sniping and snide comments in this forum.

So having said that, my view is that the so-called affected here are not representative of all affected and also they have no right to asked the 'unaffected' to shut up. Furthermore this is an open forum, so everyone and anyone can comment on any view (except those that disturb social and racial harmony)... not just the views that the 'affected' wants to hear. 🦆

Ah boy seems to have matured overnight. Proud of you.

I am sure not just the affected parents have built up their emo resilience but everyone else who participated in the hot debates here too. We are not short of bullet 'shots' too, whoever first 'open fire'. Yes, this is 4+am and I am awaken, getting ready to prepare my children for schools. I ain't complaining as all good (in my own way of classsification) schools are worth making the (literally) extra miles to travel. :xedfingers:

Good luck to all the parents and students participating in the dialogue session on 25 May! 加油!

              同学们,which is correct?

Hasn't he become eminent after his sacrifices? You think SAP school students st** is it? Non-saps also know sia.
You want your next generation to be 自私自利的人吗?

Sharing is good. Insulting is not

I wrote a very long post on this but decided it is too long.
Just thinking how I can summarise all I want to say in one sentence.

Irony of life is when you see AY having a group of supporters for his brand of \"freedom of speech\" yet a group of aggrieved parents and students with greater reason for \"freedom of speech\" asked to accept their destiny without a sound.

                I am worried.

You should add salt and vinegar (a.k.a. 加盐加醋)into your sushi only and not into this forum. 唯恐天下不乱嘛?

We are not restricting people on speech freedom or asking them to accept their destiny quietly.

We are trying to lay out facts for them to analyse. Sometimes hard facts are difficult to swallow, esp this group who thinks they are exclusive as they and their kids are promised 'carrots' not accessible to any JCs so far. So 期望越高,失望就越大。But one must be realistic.

I am certain MOE will still deliver their promises to the later batches (their 学弟学妹)but probably not now since there exist problems not within their control (some call it error).

                .

The affected parents have their way of expressing discontentment on the competency of MOE and LTA…mishandling, setting poor examples to their children, poor planning, lack transparency etc but we also have our own way of supporting and respecting our govt to balance things up.

IMO, it’s not all good to tell our children, directly or indirectly, our govt is incompetent, owe them an explanation and whatsoever as we may mislead and send the wrong message to their young minds.

Yes good luck. But as least now we know before the dialogue that the new principal had retained a lot of students before and those students whose results could be affected if we live too far away from Mt Senai could get retained. :scared:

Good luck also to those 自命清高 type in here, for they know not who are really helping them or who have axes to grind in the name of seeking justice. 😂

Likewise, I have to send my kids to school early as one of the schools is far from public transport stops and another is in the east that badly needs refurbishments.
But as some imply,愿者上钩,so no complaints. But we can also put up a petition and complain why so and so schools get PRIME first, then ours how, waited so long already?
Well this is life. Must endure and make sacrifices to make our lives and others happier.

Waiting for wild bullets to shoot after the morning rush? :siam:
