interesting ! boys more or girls more for 2010 ? since stats says more boys for 2007..

Yes, isn't that interesting? There's a higher ratio of baby boys to girls every year. But if you follow the statistics for different age groups, the ratio of boys to girls drops till its almost 1 : 1 at the 20 - 30 age group. Then at greater age groups, it's a higher ratio of women to men.

So ... why does the ratio of boys/ men drop?

some migrated abroad while others died.

Interesting data. I always thought 2009 birth rate is higher.

May I know where can I view 2013 birthrate?

Hi. Just for those who are curious…

There will always be more male births per year compared to female live births worldwide. The reason is due to increased motility of the sperm carrying the Y genome - meaning male sperms move faster! Statistically this will increase the the chances of male sperms scoring a hit with the egg ( the egg always contains an X sex chromosome).

As to why the ratio evens out as the children reach adulthood could be due to the fact that more males die before reaching adulthood. Due to various reasons, disease, suicide etc. So eventually the ratio should even out.

Agian, I’m only writing this for those who are curious.
