Why risk balloting in Phase 2C (Radin Mas) ?
Balloting can run either way, depending on direction of luck, on the actual balloting day itself.
If want, after enter zhangde, then slowly seek transfer to radin mas, a safer road, than just ballot like that
Based on past years' P1 Registration results -
If fail to ballot in 2C, the schools left available in 2C Supp are :-
Blangah rise, Cantonment, Gan Eng Seng primary. -
Hi, I’m new in this forum. I’ll be registering my girl for 2016 P1. I have shortlisted 2 schools, Alexandra and CHIJ Kellock. There are pros and cons and I am in a dilemma on which to choose.
Alexandra is a new school, so far with good feedback that I’ve hear. It is popular in our area.
CHIJ is a girls school, not so popular. There is less distraction in a girls school. Managed to do a visit and the girls are very well-mannered. The school is somehow quite old. Also there’s affiliation to St Teresa Convent. Yet to check out more thou I heard not so good. They are doing reno for 2 years from 2017. It will be a distraction to move to another school.
For parents with girls, which do you choose? -

My humble comments....Hi, I'm new in this forum. I'll be registering my girl for 2016 P1. I have shortlisted 2 schools, Alexandra and CHIJ Kellock. There are pros and cons and I am in a dilemma on which to choose.

Actually from what I read, u seems already have a preference for kellock and know u want ur kid to go there. You can ignore the affiliation link and send your kid to other sec schools next time. You can decide on that later on in 6 yrs time. Still a long way......
And btw, kellock is not \"not so popular\". It is quite a hot school in BM area as well cos its the only convent CHIJ school in this area.
Cheers

Personally distance is a vital point for me. If you are able to join Alexandra and is nearer to you, you should go for it. Kellock had a change of principal in 2014 and she is really focused on their academics but like what you had mentioned, they will be shifting to a temp location for 2 years. If you don't mind, you can choose this school coz there's affiliation which makes PSLE less stressful. It's all up to individual's preferences.
