EC still more affordable than a 99-year condo, has condo facilities.

ECs are for HDB upgraders as well as for those who can't buy HDB due to high income.
After 5 years, can sell to Singaporeans
HDB resale, I don't think there's any income ceiling.
Morever, 1st timer have housing grant hor
        Thanks.
Just wondering if we sell our HDB, can buy resale for retirement anot.. Hence the questions.

There appears to be an over supply of ECs.

To those who commit an new EC as their first property, there are many conditions and considered to forfeit one chance for govt housing subsidy. Resale levy of $55K if later wish to get a new HDB flat (can only apply flat 30 months after disposing EC). Can read up on HDB website.

To purchase resale EC, the profit margin will be much slimmer than those who got it directly from the developer (especially those who took the 1st timer grant).

I am quite in-door and would hardly use such facilities. It would be a waste of my money...

Apartments are much cheaper. Some of the newer apartments come with lap pool and a small gym to go along.

No security guards though, thus overall maintenance fees are lower than full facilities condos.

Value for money for own stay and rental yield.

Think can..provided the condo owner can buy HDB then. I was told some time back that we can use our first time HDB grant in future. We have bought our HDB flat 2times, both resale and haven't use the grant yet.

Not me, my worst scenario is I still can live in the private property.

Pardon me, does it make much difference with or w/o guards?

Same plan! Hopefully by then, can buy small HDB without selling our current place.
