Rules may change in the future.. A lot of excess housing now..bb_ mom:
Starlight - we're not at hdb now. Now at private apartment which we hope to rent out if we can downgrade to smaller place in future.
I am quite surprised that even buying a resale hdb is not allowed unless you dispose your private ppty within 6mths. -

If buy sub sale/ resale condo, what will be your consideration?
Location, layout, price, Neighbour (resale) -

So not all citizens have equal rights, since HDB owners can buy private ppty but not the other way round. You must be a new citizenbb_ mom:

Thanks for sharing. Yes, I feel there's a lot of downside but at this point developers are not realistic yet. Not reflecting market sentiments. So many balance units but refused to adjust price.
I'm curious. Would they rather pay 'fine' for unsold units than to sell at bigger discount to buyers? -
By the way, anyone has any idea why some developers chose not to launch the units even though entire condo already TOP?
On paper still remained unlaunched. What is the purpose of that? Defer timeline to some tax or what?
I find that puzzling. Agents also clueless. -

If they adjust price, unfair to those who already bought.. lose credibility.. next time ppl wont buy from such developers (lelong)... they will definitely look in the long run.. it is not a once off business.. they r in this long term.. however, I m sure they have an exit plan..Coolkidsrock2:

Is paying 'fine' more serious or losing credibility more serious? -
Developers have extremely deep pockets and definitely good holding power.
