Thyroid disorder

Hi,rains:
The report was in.
The doc said my T4 is now 10.8, marginally above the normal range. I hope it doesn't become hypo.
Like you, Jennifer, my TSH is not normalised yet.
But there's a new finding: I have a more-than-1cm nodule (solid lump) in my thyroid.
The doc wants me to go for a biopsy 'bcos it's more than 1cm'. I said I'll think about it.
I am a little suspicious that the doc had done too many tests, and some were unnecessary eg. liver test.
To do those tests, 5 test tubes worth of blood was drawn. I can't help but think they were excessive.
Hyperthyroidism are sometimes associated with liver problems so I think that's why the dr did a liver test .
Did your doctor ever mention regarding liver problem? -
I found out that a few of my health indices are off the reference range during the basic blood test. The GP recommended that I do another round of blood test later.
-
Readings of yesterday blood test:
T3 Free 4.45 (within reference range) = 288.98
T4 Free 11.42 (within reference range) = 0.89
TSH 0.076 (still below reference range)
So tapering to Mon to Thur 10mg of thyrozol and Fri to Sun 15mg.
The pink pill (beta blocker) can take on alternate days, once a day instead of twice a day.
To review again 8 weeks later.
Weight has gone back to pre-condition 55kg -
Gd to hear that things are under controlled.

Now that it has been a few months I am on medication, on some days I can feel my heart beating a little faster. A check of my heart beat using a phone apps shows BPM is 80+
Is 80+ BPM normal?
This usu happens when I am doing housework. -
Hi Jen,
When I am calm and relaxed, my heart beat is 60/min. I donβt time my heartbeat otherwise since more vigorous activities would contribute to faster heartbeat. Prior to treatment, my heartbeat was impossible to time even when I was relaxed, so my benchmark would be when I am calm and relaxed.
Can I check if you go for your blood test and review on a 4-to-6-week basis? My sister mentioned that hers is every 3 months, so I am wondering if my visits/reviews have been excessive. -

I am seeing the doctor every 6 to 8 weeks. More frequent than your sister. Lately feeling more stress due to %#%# caused by other people  -
Thanks, Jen. Today, I went for my review, determined to ask why my visit frequency was 4 to 6 weeks when others' were not so frequent, but before I could ask, the doctor told me she would see me in 2 months' time!
She even said if the results show that my Trab index goes into the normal range, she would reduce my medication to 1 or half a tab for 2 or 3 times per week, and wean me off the medicine totally

:congrats:
My Trab test is due next month. :xedfingers:
I have been waking up in the middle of the nights more frequently lately. Heartbeat seems more noticeable too.
