I would have assumed that you have thought about the curriculum in RGPS versus OLQP before you made your decision?

Back tracking, you mentioned that OLQP is your alma mater, that would meant that you had enroll your girl through Phase 2B?

It was, or so I'd thought. The convenience! But after speaking with several people in the know and having a clearer understanding of the school culture, I decided on OLQP. The curriculum was only a minor consideration. It's a great school, I'm sure. I suppose what I look for in a school is a little different from others.

We came under Phase 2A2. I was advised that my daughter would fall under Phase 3 because she is a US citizen. I went to ICA immediately and applied for Singapore Citizenship by Descent for her. We were very lucky to get it right before the start of the application by phases. So very lucky!

I heard abit about OLQP and I like what i hear. I came from an all boys school, De La Salle then SJI. Initially wanted to enroll my daughter there, but there is no girls or co-ed affiliation to Sec school so that does not really work for me. Maybe I am thinking too far ahead.
I have always wanted my daughter to be in an IJ school thou.

Let's hope it's neither Yeah, initially, I was struggling between RGPS, which is within walking distance from my house and OLQP, which is my alma mater.
I picked OLQP in the end for very specific reasons.
What I especially love about it, is the fact that school starts at 8am
They also have this program called the IJ Young Lady Program whereby they teach the girls social ettiquette, style and confidence. I love that![/quote]

Is for the whole school (P1 to P6), to equip the girls develop into gracious ladies with good social ettiquette, well mannered & confident young ladies

Only Catholics are required to attend catechism class. The rest of the girls will attend life skills class during the same period. There is no need to opt out; I think it's by default.

Catholic girls will leave for catechism class whilst the others stay in class for english or chinese, according to my daughter. Non catholic girls can request to attend catechism class. The form teacher has a list of who's attending catechism and who's not. It would've already been indicated in the form.

Knowing my girl... she would probably opt for catechism class... in order to skip English or Chinese class..

Oh we are Christians.. just in case..

Had registered my daughter under phase 2C. I think she will get in. I hope I had made a right decision for her. Im staying around Jelapang. Wonder if i book a school bus what time it will fetch her. Any1 staying around this area n their daughters on school bus?


Existing parents may i know hows your experience and opinion of this school so far? Im very nervous and keen to know more about the school environment and teachers.
