want to ask, is it more than 500m away from the school, cannot get in PV MK ?

I had been rejected the application and called to PV MK want to find out the reason, but the incharge there everything tell me CANNOT EXPOSE. even i ask if put under waiting list ? her reply is : u can put under waiting list but is a long list there. so i asked again, may i know how many ppl in the waiting list, her answer again \"CAN NOT EXPOSE\" !! im really quite pissed off with all this reply of CAN NOT EXPOSE. dont understand what is the reason can not expose ??
i really willing to register my youngest son to PV MK bcs my elder son is P1 at PV.
Anyone can advise what can i do?

Priority goes by distance.
1. < 500m
2. 500m to 1km
3. > 1km
Guess the main reason that you can't get the place must be due to distance priority. You can 1) waitlist and 2) look for another kindergarten/childcare.

There is no reason why they can't tell you, but there's also no reason why they must tell you. You just have to move on to the next alternative.

I’ve decided to withdraw my child at the end of the year. I really have no idea what he does in school especially for the lessons. I’m not confident that the curriculum is strong enough to prepare him for P1 without sending him for enrichment. He doesnt bring home any work from school. The only time I saw his work was during the parent teachers meeting in June.


This is only my personal opinion abt the school and for me good teachers and a strong curriculum is very important as I do not want him to struggle in P1 nor do I want to send him for enrichment. Hope that helps.

My child is with MOE Kindergarten @ Frontier. During the June school holidays, 3 teachers resigned so new teachers took over when school reopened. Now it's only almost a month with the new teacher and they had a change again! Received a note today informing of the change. Only 7 mths and so many changes. Wonder if there'll be more changes as we still have the remaining of this year and next year at this kindy. Dunno what's the problem tsk

Could it be the principal is demanding and pressurizing the teachers to meet certain standards or the teachers are too young and need to jump ship?
Considered lucky to get local teachers to teach otherwise more foreign talent will come in to replace the vacancies.
Generally new schools need some time to settle down and am not surprised by the high turnover if the high demands and expectations came from the parents.

My child is in MOE kindergarten Punggol View and he just started school last week. There are 3 teachers for about 18 students in the class, and the teachers are young and friendly. I assume they are local as I'm not so sure for the Chinese teacher. She may be PRC. I chat with my child every evening to probe him on what he learnt, what he liked in school, his friends and whether he thinks the teachers are nice. So far, the feedback from him has been positive. Hope it stays that way!

Your child will be in good hands as Punggol View MOE kindy has an excellent principal. Hope it is still the first principal as when the school starts operation.
