That should be mrt to plaza singapura. Take the bus from
bus stop opposite park mall directly to CGS.

Another alternative will be taking the NE line from Sengkang MRT to Outram MRT , from there transfer to E/W line , 2 stops alight at Redhill MRT. Probably takes abt 50min for her to reach sch..

Hi,

My girl is studying Sec 1 in the school currently. I like to ask the parents of girls who are in Sec 2 and above.

In the past, is the last day of the school year (term 4) e.g. 20 November 2015 a day that most students need not go to school. I saw in the calendar, there are some camps e.g. house camp, student council camp, not sure if these are compulsory.

The reason I ask is that in the past, most primary school kids need not go to school during the the last 2 days of school because the school is preparing the primary 1 orientation. I thought of planning something on the 20 November 2015 but not sure if there are any compulsory school activities on the last day of the school year. Thanks.

The FT has sent an email to advise that the last day of school this year is 23 Oct 2015. Any additional lessons/camps etc will be at the Teacher’s discretionary in consultation with the school given that there’s O Levels going on.

My girl’s CCA camp is scheduled end-Dec. HTH

The sec 2 girls are supposed to be choosing their choice combination for Sec 3 this week.


Any idea how many triple 9/ triple 8/ double science classes in Sec 3 ? What is the composition like?

What is the chance of being offered their 1st choice if they meet the criteria? Will it be determine by their level ranking ,etc…?

Hello! The number of each class varies each year. For my year, it is 3 double science, 1 triple 9 and 3 triple 8. The subject combinations are as follow:

1) Double Science, Double Humanities - Physics and Chemistry or Biology and Chemistry, Core humanities (Literature, Geography, or History) and Elect Humanities (Social Studies + Literature, Geography, or history) where the Core Humanities and the Elect Humanities are different. Please also note that if you want to take Physics, your math marks have to be more than 50 for overall.

2) Triple 9 - Biology, Chemistry and Physics, Core humanities (Literature, Geography, or History) and Elect Humanities (Social Studies + Literature, Geography, or history) where the Core Humanities and the Elect Humanities are different. Your Math and Science average for overall has to be more than 70%, although you can apply if you do not hit the marks required.

3) Triple 8 - Biology, Chemistry and Physics, Elect Humanities (Social Studies + Literature, Geography, or history). Your Math and Science average for overall has to be more than 75%, although you can apply if you do not hit the marks required.
