Kids' ambitions

I have a different view to this. No doubt the economic factor to generate revenue for oneself is critical for one to spend time on a vocation, I believe passion comes stronger.


I imagine being in daisyt’ dd shoes. If I have the strong character to others emotional issues n can still enjoy the woork, that is already battle won against self. Next for poor kids who need help but no funds, I believe in working with a funding organisation to solve that problem. By doing that she can bring more help to those needy children instead of just giving free services on her own. If always look at self, we can achieve little but if we can extend ourselves beyond self, it is the power of synergy works, we should learn from the ants sometimes.

To earn good $ and able to help others, this is the perfect job!!


How about school counsellors? Anyone has something to share? The job scope, qualification and career path?

Hey LKVM, DS1 ever had this ambition too!! :celebrate: Reason of that is because he wants to take or rather control the plane frequently. :roll: We have our outing to Changi, last time used to go T1 or T2, JUST TO VIEW planes take off or landing Boring,rite.....nowhere to go mah....Anyway, DS1 popped the question of asking DH & I to arrange for holiday, where we could take plane.... :love: Of cos, we would like to, but is just like we are least affordable,manage to let him has his 1st flight last Dec holiday though... :love: My answer to his question,\" Be a pilot, then u can take or even control the plane frequently, BUT NOW, u must study hard first \" He asked me study until Primary what huh? He was K2 then....Anyway, this gives him a boost :celebrate:

After found out he is shortsighted, not high now, but gradually will increase...WAIT, what is the max degree for pilot?500 degree?? DS1 change his ambition to be a CHEF. Again, he asked me to study til Primary what huh?? I said ok, be a chef like Sam Leong.... :lol:

I dun carry any hope as he is still flicker what to be, even said he wants to be rubbish collector cos he said will keep environment clean,lion dance troop dancer cos he likes lion dance and all kinds of funny lines As long as he is well being, no matter what he is in, i will be glad.... :love:

pilot is good. dh’s friend is a pilot. downside is always not at home with the family.
for chef, do let your kid know that the working environment does not have aircon. used to have a friend who graduated from shatec, but did not cont his chef-apprentice job cos cannot stand the kitchen heat.

Thanks, jedamum. Had told him that. Told him as being a pilot, will miss home frequently;as being chef, will be in non air con environment and also hours off with \"normal\" working hours..... Anyway, i dun worry so much as i mentioned earlier on that as long as he is well being, i will be glad.... :love:

Heard that there are not enough perfect eyesight pilots these days so they will make do with Ortho-K pilots.

I agree with u totally he is in K2 and maybe everytime he sees the plane he wanna fly and asks us next time he can give free ride to us :!: .....Maybe next he grows he wanna become something else dunno :? but dont think he likes studies a lot so I dont have too much hope

Ya, i was repsonsed by that too,\" give us(DH,DS2 and I) free ride to the plane....\" :love: And one time we passed by constuction site, his mind flashed to be an architect OR engineer, and said, will build houses and sell at S$2K (to him, 2k was a lot at then) for ppl, and give us (DH,DS2 and I) a HOUSE.... :love:

My daughter started out wanting to be a teacher. A while later, enjoying her ballet classes, she decided to aspire to become a dancer. Lately, she says she prefers to be a doctor.


She told me one of her classmates (a girl too) said when she grows up, she wants to be a man !!!??!! :shock:
