Check with the general office when the vendor will come to the school and where the booth is. The last time I checked, a Mr Lau said the sch bookshop will be taking over the sale of Polo T. Dunno know if has happened.
They were told that the vendor for PoloT will come to the canteen on Wed but that has never happen ...
Anyone knows why ?

Have a question here. what distinguish NJC from other IP schools like HCI, RV, RI, …etc in their high school programme and activities besides being a government school, some boarding school experience and get to go to NJC(junior). Or no much different from usual secondary school on a day to day, ie lessons and CCA? Appreciate parents who have kids joined them from sec1 to share.

depends what to compare specifically;
1. school fees. (it is like any usual govt sec. sch)
2. academic curriculum. (HCI/RV/RI IP programmes are all different, so dunno how to compare)
Besides, 2010 is only the 2nd intake of 6-year IP students. It'll be another 4-5 years before NJC have any \"A\" level results for comparison.

I also dunno. As long as he is happy n can sleep by 9.30pm
Met a neighbour whose boy is in RI sec1 this year. She was very surprised to hear that my boy can go to bed by 9.30pm and still has time to play and read his story books.
Maybe that's the reason why RI can produce such good results. -

He says usually there is a sign outside the bookshop announcing what is in-stock, like \"Collar Pins - NOW in-stock!\". LOL. or another sign telling you not to go in if you're looking for something out of stock \"Polo Tees: Out of Stock - for now\".

Like dunno said, every IP programme is different so how to compare ?
But my girl is happy there. I think it is a good place for them to develop & realize their potential ...
Also, we paid for sec school fees but gotta enjoy JC facilities ...
The boarding school good experience & is the only one so far in Spore. The Principal said that this Boarding Programme is very expensive to run but we only pay peanuts for it bcos it is highly subsidized ... -

The school is run more like a JC. Lessons generally end at 3.30pm, unlike mainstream sec schools that end at 2.30pm. Altho' like mainstream schools, with CCAs, they can end at anytime between 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
Curriculum - school has it's own. No textbooks as such. Coverage in a particular topic can span sec 1 to 3 work. Students are expected to be more independent learners and also leaders in their own right as well since there's quite a bit of project work too. You can see the curriculum on the school website.
Our kids haven't gone to boarding yet, so no comments there.
Unlike Jennifer's son, mine doesn't get to *koon* at 9.30pm lah. His days are quite full. But he really enjoys it. I find that he's matured quite a fair bit in these few months.
