2015 PSLE Discussion and Strategies

Seems like MT picture oral today is more difficult than yesterday's...

Reading Aloud Passage : Mass Jog
Passage went somewhat like this...
(bits and pieces from what DD2 can remember)
I regretted not practising for this mass jog earlier. My legs are aching. \"Come on, Nora, push on. Maintain the momentum!\" Dad's advice echoed in my head.
.
.
.
I just wished that I could beat a few of my classmates who were ahead of me.
.
.
.
Even though I was not one of the top runners, I was still satisfied that I completed that mass jog. -
Stimulus Based Conversation : Fun Run
Picture shown was like a pinned-up poster on a board. Poster had a small running track… two children and two adults running in sports attire… three free items (a bottle of water, an apple and a cap)… 1st Nov, Sunday was event date… there was a short note indicated to encourage participants to bring one (of your) family member(s) to jog with them.
(1) Look at the picture. Would you be interested to attend this activity?
(2) Would the free items encourage you even more?
(3) What are some occasions that you and your family members do often? -

Similar sentiments, MyPillow.
I was more afraid of current affairs topics like terrorism.. or recent learning journey mishap and yah, hoping no global warming too. http://www.sherv.net/ -
Terrorism topic more by GCE O level students, not so much by Psle pupils

Yup yup..
Only imagining the kind of EL syllabus of the future. -
Dear all,
My DS is very upset with his Chinese oral today. Base on what I heard, yesterday’s picture and conversation are easier. My DS’s classmates also lamented the same thing.
It’s really unfair for kids taking PSLE today. I can only console my DS to move on. The ministry should really make sure the standard of oral exam is consistent for the 2 days. Else make all pupils sit for English on Day 1, then sit for Mother Tongue on Day 2. That is the best way to ensure consistency!
