Does it mean that only this year that the English marks is different?

Sleepy,Keke, I came across this post from last year
2014 thread page 9
Pen88n, hope you don't mind I kaypoh cut and paste here
Pen88n:
1st round is just the usual Maths and English tests - more like school standard (+ a little?). Not a concern for most parents and kids. The stake only gets higher at the 2nd round whereby the questions are more \"different\" and \"out-of-the-box\".
Thanks for sharing Penn88 past post.
Yeah, I second that,too.

DS said he is very confused. On the front page for both EL and MA papers, it states one mark each question. But at the back, the EL paper states award 2 marks for each correct answer and the MA paper states award 1 mark for each correct answer. According to him, he saw full marks for each paper is 50. so I am :scratchhead: :scratchhead: ?????

I try to make myself clearer, the 1 mark each is stated on the question paper and award 2 marks for correct answer is stated on the answer sheet (not the piece that they do shading but the one that is used for non-mcq questions). For MA, it is award 1 mark for correct answer.
Btw, is it ok to discuss 2015 screening here or should we discuss in the GEP 2015 - Screening & Selection thread? -
In the past Mar, Jun and coming Sep school holidays, the P4 GEP students in DD's school have been given lots of homework & assignments. In fact for short 1 week school holidays, there's no real break. Does anyone know if it's going to be like this too for the year-end Nov-Dec holidays? :imdrowning:

Hi wcc, Yes, there is no break. -
No la. I recall P4 seemed more hectic but P5 quite relaxed. There are projects that need be done and homework from time to time. But during hols, DS1 can watch tv, play games, etc…I don’t see him having much homework. Teachers ain’t complaining so I guess all is good?
