Thanks Chamonix, yes, both DH & me are slim. Its just that he's growing taller but not putting on weight as much so now he looks really skinny. Heartache each time he takes off his clothes, can really 'count' the number of ribs bones he has

Hi sakura_2009,

She eats a lot, in fact eat more than me.. keep growing taller and taller.. but not putting much on weight .. :stupid:

While you are counting the number of rib bones, I'm sighing at the bulging tummy.
How nice it would be if we can magically transfer some fats here and there. Then we'll both be happy parents.

He has been drinking Pediasure for the last 5 years (since he was 3 yrs old). Stop drinking recently as he was not showing much progress + I think he really got tired of drinking the same milk
hope you have replaced it with fresh milk then ... -
My skinny DS had warm fresh milk added with Pediasure from 2 to 4 year old and didn't put on much weight too

Just measured DS yesterday. He has actually grown 2cm taller (he is now at 130cm) but NO CHANGE in his weight. Still at 22kgsakura_2009:

My niece is P4 now, she never take any milk after age 1.
She is 130cm 42kgs.....
She eat a lot, esp during dinner time... 2 bowl of rice...
I think the way to cause her grow fat, is rice.... :? -

How I wish my kids are like that
I suppose grass is always greener on the other side. Fat also got problem. Skinny also got problem.
My mum is always like... people would stop her and ask her what she feed my kids. Did they take alot of tonic etc... People would also touch or \"pinch\" their rosy chubby cheeks.. I am like
if only they are not chubby. I don't appreciate it at all.

Personally I will not be very concerned if my kids are on the skinny side so long as they are eating well and healthy. Likewise, a little chubbiness on my kids will not bother be much either but I will be concern if they are tipping the scales all the time
I was a skinny kid and I was put on the school milk programme and that nutrition drink thing that was really nasty tasting. Added to that, my parents put be on some vitamins to increase my appetite. And when puberty hit, I started putting on weight.
