Today I asked hubby again...
He says just choose Yumin, no need to stress, no PV, no balloting...
& DD echo him... :?: -

haha, better than the situation I am in. I like to chose School A, DH wants School B and argues with me day and night whenever he got chance.... but since I am the one doing PV, I guess I will have the final say in this. :evil:Today I asked hubby again...

Anyone can comment on this?

I still think both husband and wife should discuss and have consensus when it comes to school selection. Else next time if the kid have problems in school, they will start blaming each other.
Luckily me and dh has no such issue and we did PV work together to combine the 40 hrs.

Just want to share a different perspective to PV. My kids’ school don’t allow PV for potential students as my ex-teacher who is still teaching there after 22 years mentioned that they have more than enough interest and do not want to open up "hopes" to potential parents. Also MOE is asking them to cut down on the no. of intake. But they do encourage PV of existing students’ parents.
I did just that when my son started P1 this year. I didn’t realise that PV can be so satisfying. To me, I used to have the impression that only those "parents who are too free and got nothing better to do then go and do PV in school" especially when we are not talking about getting a place in the school (there was no "motive").
I found it satisfying because my children actually observed that I was doing PV in schools. They look forward to seeing mummy doing PV in school and I think they are proud as well. They would tell their friends that this is my mum, etc… They even asked me if I was gg to help out in school again.
So for those parents whose kids are eventually selected in the school that you PV, pls continue to PV where possible. Your kids recognise that and is proud of that. Also, you’ve a better understanding of the school. -

My girl is very excited to see me when I PV in her school. She announces to all her friends I am her mommy
