if it is motor skills that you are referring to, you can do art and craft or even sensory activities like hama beads, but do supervise them closely to prevent them from putting it into their mouth.

it helps to develop patience, fine motor skills, creativity or imaginative ideas.

What exactly do you mean by \"motor planning\"? Planning in the general sense to accomplish a goal, or planning to complete a physical task?

Like plan an idea how to accomplish the task,follow 5 steps to complete an activity. Keep toys properly not look like throw dye to poor gross motor skills, jumping with both legs,throwing balks and catching, balancing, handwriting difficulty etc

For each type of toy, spell out what he should do and where it should go. Say what you expect to see when the process is done. Supervise hime closely and make him do that every day for weeks/months until it becomes ingrained.

For gross motor skills, again, break every one down into little steps and coach, coach, coach! Eg, throwing balls - you may have to show him how to hold the ball, how to place his legs, how to position his body, how and when to let go of the ball, how to follow through the throw etc etc. My daughter could not \"just follow\" or figure these things out for herself, and so we had to coach her and practise a lot. It took her until around 7yo to manage the playground equipment at the foot of our block when her younger sister and the neighbourhood kids could climb all over it around 4yo! As I've said before, it takes lots of painstaking effort and constant coaching.

How to teach child correct handwriting?Child is writing in his own sequence of the alphabet which is not correct eg should write the left side first.

If I demo to him how to write and get him to write he doesn’t want (copying).

Buy him 60 cent exercise book, square box

Go popular, buy a list of commonly encountered Bian pang Zi

Inside the square box exercise book -
First row, u write out for him, but u must show the sequence.
you write out Bian pang Zi one whole row, illustrate the sequence of the Chinese stroke showing how to write Bian pang Zi

Example
San Dian shui Bian pang Zi
Show sequence 1 : show, stroke going down to the right bottom

Show sequence 2 : show, stroke going down to the right bottom

Show sequence 3 : show, stroke going up to the right top

For row #2 and row #3 :
Ask him to write out himself

After he manage to write out row 2 and row 3, ask him to read aloud what is this Bian pang Zi he has written out ?

If he can say "San Dian Sui", give him a sticker, praise him, ask him to stick the sticker below row 3. Clap hand for him

Let him rest 5 minutes.

Then repeat same steps, with a second simple Bian pang Zi

At end of day, show him booklet, revise with him those Bian pang Zi he had written.

Target each day : complete writing 3 to 4 Bian pang Zi

Hi fellow parents. Has anyone had a change in their household income situation (much lower income due to a change in job) while your child was in EIPIC and was able to qualify for higher subsidies? Even though my husband has changed jobs and is now only drawing a fraction of his former pay, we still have to pay full fees due to the 12-month means testing calculation. As the full fees are really quite high given our current income situation, I’m wondering if we can expect any revision in the immediate future. Hope to hear from those who have experienced this.

I don't have experience in this, but you could ask the relevant granting authority if there is any way to grant some relief in the interim. No harm asking.
