I can feel the stress now esp SA2 is just around the corner. After SA2 is like no break. Still hv tuition to get a headstart on p6 work.

I feel the stress when my revision plan is disrupted...it means the topics to be covered have to be delayed and there is practically no time...like you mentioned after SA2, no break until mid December. After son's experience with psle, it's safer to start p6 work before new school year.
But I need a breather. -
SA2 is already underway but my DD is still nonchalant about it. Term 4 is so short, sa2 came so soon after the term3 break. I have not even recovered from the CA2 and then SA2 is already at my doorstep.
To better cope with PSLE stress next year, I guess I must really manage my expectations.
I have always looked upon Janet, as she deems to be very well in control of her children's education/revision knows what she wants and achieves it. She is able to maintain a good balance between work and play.
I am still waiting for the day when they will 'wake up their idea' I guess I need to try a new approach. -

My son has finally woken up...he is in sec 3....before this, I was still pulling my hair out.
My expectation for her is not in the 70 range...it would be a miracle if that happens. -
Hi, anyone enroll their kids with SmartLab before? Heard they are now introducing their year end holiday programs with revision classes, enrichments classes, labs and also head start classes. Should be a good opportunity to enroll my kids so they can learn something during the 2 months school holidays if not this long break will make them forget what they learnt before and it’s always good to start early. Lol good to be kiasu abit.

are the programs meant to be conducted only during the holidays?
you going to continue with the classes when new school term starts? -
I don’t know what to expect of ds. When he was younger, I thought he would be able to do very well for psle because he seemed to cope well in school without tuition. Now, I am not so sure. I Find myself worrying a lot this year. Questions like is he doing enough revision, does he need extra support will keep popping up in my mind when the exams are near. Should I go a little bit easier on myself and stop worrying about him, let him find his own pace? But it seems like if I don’t ask, he can do his own things for the longest time.

I have checked the list of the revisions topics are meant to refresh what they have learnt which I feel will benefit my kid and the head start classes are good for my kid to learnt before he goes to S2 next year, well after this holiday programs, can continue with their tutorial classes with Smartlab

I wish I can let go and forget about books after sa2…unfortunately it is not to be. for me, it’s not about being kiasu…more like kiasi. better start p6 work earlier than having teachers go like bullet trains when 2016 begins.
