Hi just asking, have you all decided on the sec school your DD or ds will be going? I am staying at Tampines. Any suggestion of good sec school nearby?

      El 80, Maths 85, CL 85 and Science 80
try to aim for Cedar Secondary (offer O level / IP track)

      can consider
      Temasek JC
      Dunman High

      Anglican High

with cca and supplementary lessons, after school hours are unpredictable.

son takes a nap after school…he has homework and subjects to revise for daily. with that power nap, he won’t be too tired when he stretches till 11pm.

I think intensity in Secondary School is slightly controllable. Opt for a less time consuming CCA wherever possible. Also decided to drop 3rd language after 1 semester so can gain an extra afternoon off. Won’t be continuing with Math Olympiad training next year. I have to streamline on behalf. It’s just me. I watch kids’ rest time like a hawk. Must avoid overloading

don't opt for active kind of ccas which requires 2-3 days of practice after school as well as going back on Saturdays.

School has no opinion regarding dropping of 3rd language and Maths Olympiad training? I'm wondering if will affect future scholarship applications?

All optional. Up to parents discretion.

Scholarship not a concern for me at this point in time.

Having sufficient rest time and avoid overloading are of higher priority.

Dunman high, chung cheng main and temasek JC are all very good schools. I don’t know if my ds can make the cut. Must see his results after psle. Already apprehensive for this SA2.

Oral and compo exams are over. Now left with paper 2, right after psle marking.

My daughter's main papers have not started...only oral & compo over...but in a way I'm relieved to have extra time next week. But really worried for sa2.

Now that time is so tight, I have to zoom into exam papers as revision...use assessment to explain and reinforce the topics which she is weak in. If this year is like this, next year would probably as crazy.
