My daughter will be in P 1b. Who else? Any WhatsApp group of 2016 P1 parents?
-
Heard RGPS P1 will start school on 5th Jan to allow the P2 girls to get familiarize with the "new" school.
-
P2 class : 30 kids, per class
P3 class : 40 to 45 kids, per class
(when P2 shift up to P3, become bigger : an increase of at least 10 to 15 kids, per class)
P2 promoted to P3 …
Dear current P2 parents,
When your daughter collect Report card at the last week of school (Term 4 week 10, before December year end school holidays start), the particular 2016 P3 class that your daughter had been allocated / assigned to, will be indicated, inside the Report card.
However, the allocation of the respective 2016 P3 class Form Tr, will only be made known to parents, next year January new academic year, after Principal hold staff meeting in Dec 2015 year end, to decide which Form Tr to assign to, for each respective P3 class.
All other info, will be disclosed, Term 1 next year.
Thanks. -
For the current P1 girls, may I know what do they normally for the last few weeks leading up to holiday if the graded tests will be over soon?
Do we have another round of parent teacher meeting as a closure to the first year? -
Is it compulsory to wear RGPS socks? Where do I get them, Bibi and Baba or bookshop?

It is not necessary to wear RGPS socks. The school required the girls to wear white socks covering their ankles. If you really want to get them can get them when you are buying the school textbooks end of the year from the bookshop vendor or there will be someone think from the Parent Volunteer Committee to sell them. -

after clearing all the individual P1 Graded tests in Term 4 EOY (End of year) : lesssons still resumed as per normal, ie. follow daily class timetable.
Tr will just revise entire year P1 work.
if students got any doubt over certain areas in Maths or don't quite understand certain Maths concepts, pupils can raise their hands up, ask Tr to explain in greater depth, one more time.
But Tr, won't start on any P2 Maths topic.
That'll be left to next year, 2016 curriculum.
Meanwhile, Form Tr in each P1 class, kept very busy :
- getting feedback from each individual subject Tr, how each pupil perform,
- getting feedback also from their respective Cca Tr, behavior of each pupil observed during Cca hours, whether are the students co-operative, whether student display any team spirit inside the same Cca team, whether any student been selected to join school team, etc.
Tr will discuss amongst themselves.
- Form Tr busy preparing report card,
- Form Tr discussing amongst other P1 Form Tr :
which student amongst the entire P1 cohort level : deserve to receive the bilingual prize ? other prizes, etc.
(for Bilingual (means excel in both languages, English plus Mother tongue) : only 1 sacred prize, across the entire cohort level)
note
prize giving Award day is on Thursday (19 Nov 2015), this year.
- busy writing down comments for 30 students per class, inside each pupil's report card.
Then, on the very last day of Term 4 (last year) :
whole school (P1 to P5 level) met for the last PTM session (parents & Teachers meet session) for that year, before next day, come Year end school holidays start.
very early around 7.45 am early morning, on that PTM day :
some parents after parking their car, will drag load / bags of books (contain textbooks, assessment books, storybooks, whatever books) to a very long table located right in front of entrance of school canteen, to donate to the next batch, younger level of pupils.
Some parents will donate a few days before, others donate on actual PTM day itself.
eg: P4 donate to P3, P3 donate to P2, P2 donate to incoming freshie P1s, etc.
We, Rgps parents help one another, this way.
this year (2015) :
there should also be a PTM for P1s, P2s
is normally conducted on the last day of Term 4 school Term, just before Year end school holidays start.
Nearer the time : your Form Tr will inform you day & timing.
if not, u can ask your Form Tr, when is it ?
P3 to P5s already have their day & time, well planned in advance, for PTM
current P4 PTM : Tuesday, 17 Nov
current P3 and P5 PTM : Wednesday, 18 Nov

As long as it is white in color, ok. -
Hi!
Would like to check if the group colour will change from P1 to P6. My girl is starting P1 next year and I’m deciding on how many set of PE shirts to buy since it’s tagged to the colour that’s she is being assigned to.
