janet88:
Is this the trait of kids born in 2004? someone must sit beside the kid otherwise the kid will go lalaland. My Son also same same. if I sit beside him, I will :snooze: if I do not monitor him, he only manage to complete 1 set of hw the whole day, just like yesterday.Sky velvet,
My daughter goes to la la land when I leave her alone...can't afford to have the habit sitting beside when she does her work...but I do check on her every now and then. During exams, I don't sit beside her...so if she is dependent having me beside, it's dangerous during the exam.
I dare not think of next year...get through sa2 first. One day at a time.
I have 2 friends who are very ON. They really sit beside their ds. But they are different. Only 1 child & do not need to cook most of the time. -
Steadyberry:
just completed school past year papers today. didn't time her for the math...just want to get them finished asap. if your son only did one set, will the teacher ask for all the homework on Friday?
1st paper is on next Thu higher mt. His school teacher gave him a few Maths TOP school papers as hw. But as mentioned, only did 1 yesterday. Didn't see any hw for other subjects.
So I think the teacher expects the kids to do their own revision if they didn't give them any hw. But my ds is so lazy.
have to revise some of the science topics under systems...daughter isn't very sure. -
Hi Janet
Asked him & he said 2 maths & 1 science. Already completed 1 set. Should be able to complete 2 papers tomorrow. :xedfingers: -

4 days seem long...but 2moro is already Thursday. -
I worked from home today to ensure DS does his revision. I just joked that I will again work from home tomorrow and DS started shaking his head!

mine here cannot shake her heads :rotflmao: ...it's how much work I give her for the day...and her cooperation. -
Hi All,
Advise advise please...
Preparing for SA2 and noticed that DD is losing upto 26 marks on Paper 2
She very often gets full marks for Paper 1.
Now we are thinking of putting her in Oodles (Jurong East) after her SA2.
Why Oodles? The \"only\" centre that we know of that concentrates purely on Paper 2.
If any of you have good suggestions please share...
Have a great weekend peeps :imcool: -
Daughterโs problem areas are composition & comprehension. Once she can overcome her fear of writing, it will be the end of her stumbling block. For comprehension, itโs the passage.
-
mine also have prob with compo. always write out of content..will happily write the story and forgot what the topic of the story is about
also problem with sentence structure.now urgently looking for a tuition center to brush up his writing skills.
previously enrolled him with learning lab but no improvement at all.haizzzzz -
My dd is inconsistent, so you really don't know what to expect... Making it :nailbite: each time.
I don't think she is prepared for SA2 yet but I can't wait for it to be done and over with.
