Daughter’s problem areas are composition & comprehension. Once she can overcome her fear of writing, it will be the end of her stumbling block. For comprehension, it’s the passage.

My dd is inconsistent, so you really don't know what to expect... Making it :nailbite: each time.

I don't think she is prepared for SA2 yet but I can't wait for it to be done and over with.

Lalamum, you can try Conceptual Thinker, they focus on problem sums only.

DS siamz me tonight, scared I will pick up revision for the evening! He said he has completed all the school homework for today.

The more he runs, the more I think I want to squeeze in one hour of work....

my daughter is also inconsistent...if the passage is tough, she 'switches off' 😢 mine here is not ready but I am hoping there will be a miracle these 3 weeks.

anyone knows how to get my boy to learn/remember the vocab words.

went thru the mistakes under vocab section.explained the meanings.got him to write down. make sentence.

weeks later, reset the same qns for him, give me the same mistakes again.
                  very frustrating…

                    hi skyvelvet,

i’m experiencing same issue. I make her write down the brief meaning of the words in the MCQ section…the not so common words are forgotten.
my daughter reads, but don’t know why the vocab doesn’t stay in her brain.

                        Hi sky velvet, Janet

Not sure whether this helps. My friend’s son also has the same problem. Then his tutor told him to jot down the words & meanings in a notebook. Then get him to read the notebook regularly. I tried to get my son to do the same but he is too lazy.
