This thread on Cath High is suppose to b for the Express, IP
Or mixed ? I can’t help noticing that the Patents Support for
the other IP schools are very active but I couldn’t find
any Cath High-IP thread. Very disappointing.

What kinda situation is w Cath High IP ?

Catholic High School (from Pri to Sec) and now JC with SNGS and SCGS.


There is only one and only one Catholic High School, whether is,
1. Pri GEP or Pri non GEP
2. IP or O Level track

- Well said Dreamgear! You’ve never failed to answer any of our queries & doubts of CHS frm the start too. Btw, my boy is enjoying his gentleman Secondary journey:) Can’t believe he’s moving on to Sec 2 nxt yr. Time flies…

I have some queries on the IP :

1. Does anyone knows what literature books
are the IP students reading? My boy will b in the IP
next year. Would like him to enjoy the book
as a story first.

2. How many subjects are the IP boys taking?
What are they ?

3. What’s the usual timing of the boys coming coming back from school?

4. How’s the Parents Support Group in the school
itself? Its relationship with the school?

1. My ds is in sec 3 now. For his year 1, they do "of mice and men" and macbeth in sec 2.


Do note chs do integrated english - english and lit roll into one

2. For year 1 ip - eng, hcl, geography, history, physic, bio, chemisty, social study and world readiness

3. School ends at 1.20 normal days. Actual timing depends on how active your ds is in cca

4. No idea on psg…think must ask firefly… But i think relationship is very close…

CHS has very strong PSG, both for primary & secondary sections. Most of the school events are run by the PSG, assisted by teachers & students (eg. Homecoming & Family Day).

You’ll be given a PSG form at the Parent-Teacher Meeting, sometime in Jan. You can join the PSG by filling up the form and handing it to the Form Teacher, thru your boy. Alternatively, you can pick up / drop off the forms at the General Office.
