          Congrats, lee_yl .. :celebrate:

No need to worry about the New IP-JC anymore.. ๐Ÿ˜‰
          Thanks.

We will still need to worry about the New IP-JC as dd1 is still in SCGS, and she is still eyeing to get into this JC with all her friends!

                  Hi, ifirefly and phttph,

                  Thanks for your well wishes.

Finally submitted the form after a few sleepless nights of indecision. I caved in and went along with DDโ€™s choice.

                    Hello Sleepy

Can you please share why ivp is more time consuming than IRS?

                    Thank you.

I mentioned IRS is more time consuming.

IVP is group work. Reasonable workload.

IVP can be individual work too. From what i have observed, IRS requires more research. Student may need to conduct survey, do experiments, tabulate results and draw conclusions. Then there is presentation and doing up the poster. So perhaps it is more consuming. But i dont think it is tough as the pupils are so used to doing such 'research based' projects.

IVP on the other hand, is very different. It needs the students to be observant and come up with a solution to overcome some of the difficulties faced in their daily life. It is less 'paper work', more hands on, as u need to come up with the prototype of the product. Most of the time spent is on improving yr 'product'. I believe grading will be based on it and also the presentation to the mentor.

This is what i have observed in my dc school 2 years ago.
